Trading bot and backtest audit
Send us your trade log or your backtest code. We run the same checks we run on our own 200+ strategy books, most of which fail them, and send you a written report on what holds up and what to fix.
What we check
- Look-ahead bias. A code review of every indicator, signal and fill: does each one use only data that existed at that moment? See how to detect look-ahead bias.
- Real costs. Returns recalculated with exchange fees, slippage and funding. Many strategies that look good before costs lose after them.
- Multiple testing. A Deflated Sharpe Ratio that accounts for how many variants were tried. See Deflated Sharpe Ratio explained.
- Six gates (G1–G6). Sample size, deflated Sharpe, recency, concentration in a few trades, the losing side, and drawdown. See how many trades a backtest needs.
What you get
A written report that shows each check, the numbers behind it and exactly what to fix. We do not promise that a strategy is profitable, and an audit is not investment advice.
What we need from you
A trade log (CSV) or your backtest code. We never ask for passwords, 2FA codes or exchange keys for an audit, and we never hold funds.
We apply the same rules to ourselves
Every one of our own books is scored with these gates in public, losses included: see the Fleet monitor, the platform overview and the 5-minute summary. Strategies that failed stay in the graveyard with the reason.
Try the free check first
The free Check your bot tool scores a trade log against the same gates in your browser; nothing is uploaded. The paid audit adds the code review, the cost model and a written report.
